What is Unique About CSG?
Is it the rigorous curriculum? Is it the small class sizes? Is it the century-old, worldwide network of alumnae? There's just something unique about a CSG girl. She's confident. She's strong. She's articulate. In a word she is a leader. She sets unusually high standards for herself, and is not afraid to take the risks necessary to achieve her own version of success.
At CSG, girls flourish in a collaborative, interactive, and meaningful environment without fear of academic gender stereotyping. They are afforded numerous opportunities to discover the direction and depth of their abilities for leadership, and to develop a lifelong love of learning. Columbus School for Girls is an independent, college preparatory school, accredited by the National Association of Independent Schools. For 110 years, CSG has been a leader in the education of girls and young women. Today, we are a vibrant community of more than 650 students, 135 faculty and staff, and 2500 active alumnae scattered across the globe.
Columbus School for Girls is centrally located just east of downtown Columbus in Bexley, drawing students from a 40-mile radius of central Ohio. Our youngest children are enrolled in The Program for Young Children (PYC). Beginning with Form I, students move to the Lower School (LS), followed by the Middle School( MS) for students in Forms VI - VIII. The Upper School (US) encompasses Forms IX - XII. Typically, 100 percent of CSG graduates are accepted into and attend 4-year colleges and universities across the country.

Recent research has confirmed what we've known for over 100 years - that a single-gender educational environment is better for girls. Developing the confidence and self-knowledge of all students is central to our work. Consequently, the girls and young women of CSG embrace the opportunities and challenges of adolescence with a level of assurance and poise rarely seen in today's society. CSG Student-Teacher Ratio
CSG maintains a ratio of 9 students to each faculty member. The faculty includes not only traditional classroom teachers, but also teachers of information technology, the fine arts, drama, music, physical education, and health.
National Merit & Achievement
Out of this years' senior class of 56 students: two CSG students were National Merit Semi Finalists, four were named National Merit Commended Students, and one was named a National Achievement Finalist.
Typically, 100 percent of the graduates of Columbus School for Girls are accepted into and attend four-year colleges and universities across the country.
